May and June have been hot in Marine Area 13 for spring Chinook and (early) July is no different. The fish just seem to keep coming.

Sunday I caught this 32 inch beauty just off Point Fosdick trolling in about 70 feet of water with an old Lurh Jensen J-Plug shown in the picture below.

I seem to have really good luck right on the point over and over again. My theory with this point is the same as other points around the Puget Sound; Fosdick is a primary structure that interrupts the channel that salmon are traveling. Of course, timing is everything. But if you are willing to put in the time during the right time of year, you WILL catch a nice salmon here.
